Wasp Nest Service

• We will come to your home within 2 working days, or at a later date convenient for you.
• A fully qualified technician will survey your property to decide how best to treat the nest.
• In most instances he will apply a powder-based insecticide directly to the nest. All our technicians are fully equipped to allow them to reach out of way places. The technician will need to be on site for approximately 30 - 45 minutes.
• Most of the wasps will die within 24 hours of the application, most of them within the nest, although some scouts may return to the nest over the next few days this is normal and they will naturally die off.
• Our online quotes are only available for premises with a single wasps nest. If you have more than one nest, please call us.
• We will have to charge a call out fee of £40 if the technician is unable to treat the nest due to location, if there is no nest to treat or if you are not at the property when our technician arrives. If you know you will be late, or wish to postpone the appointment , please call our Service Centre on 0808 301 9058. If the nest cannot be located we will deploy wasp pots.
• We cannot remove the nest - if you want this done please call to discuss your requirements.
• We cannot work at heights above 2.5 mts / 8ft without a risk assessment. Please call us to discuss your situation if you think this might be the case.
• We cannot treat for bees in the same way we do for wasps. Please call us to discuss your bee problem so we can offer an alternative solution.

• There are some instances when the situation of the nest will make it harder to deal with. In these cases, we will discuss with you where the nest is and then advise the best course of action. If your nest meets any or all of the criteria below, please call us as we can not provide a quote online.
  • The nest is located more than 5m / 16ft above the ground.
  • It is in a loft space where there are no crawl boards or fixed ladder access.
  • Where access is limited by position of the nest (e.g. the access is above a conservatory).
• Our ability to treat the wasp nest and the price we charge for doing so are defined by the information you provide at the point of booking. If the situation is different when our technician arrives we reserve the right to change the price.
• If you have more than one wasp nest, or would like us to treat garden ants at the same time please call us.

Please read these terms and conditions very carefully before ordering any Treatments from Our Site. You should understand that by ordering any of our Treatments, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You should print a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 www.rentokil.co.uk is a site operated by Rentokil Initial UK Ltd t/a Rentokil Pest Control ("We, Us, Our"). We are a company registered in England and Wales with registration number 301044 and whose registered office is at Riverbank, Meadows Business Park, Blackwater, Camberley, Surrey GU17 9AB.

1.2 Our Site is only intended for use in the United Kingdom.

2. HOW THE CONTRACT IS FORMED BETWEEN YOU AND US

2.1 Your order constitutes an offer to Us to supply the Treatments. All orders are subject to acceptance by Us, and We will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail. The contract between us ("Contract") will only be formed when We send you an e-mail acceptance of your order and shall comprise these terms and conditions, your order and our acceptance. The Contract will only relate to those Treatments which We have confirmed We accept in Our e-mail acceptance.

2.2 By placing an order through Our Site, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into this Contract.

3 YOUR OBLIGATIONS

3.1 You shall:

(a)provide such access to carry out the Treatments as Our technicians may reasonably require.

(b)provide all facilities at the premises as We may reasonably require to carry out the Treatments.

4. OUR OBLIGATIONS

4.1 We shall provide the Treatments to you in accordance with the specification on Our Site and the terms of the Contract.

4.2 Where the Treatment is for the destruction of a wasps nest and We fail to secure effective destruction of the wasps nest on Our first visit We will return to Your premises within 7 day and repeat the treatment if necessary. This relates only to the nest we are called out to treat. If the nest cannot be located we will deploy wasp pots.

5. CONSUMER RIGHTS

5.1 If you are contracting as a consumer you may cancel the Contract at any time within seven working days, beginning on the day after you have placed the order and provided We have not commenced the provision of the Treatments with your consent. In this case you will receive a full refund of the charges. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and in any case within 30 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation.

6. CHARGES AND PAYMENTS

6.1 Our ability to provide the Treatments for the charges quoted to You on Our Site is conditional on the information You provide to us when ordering the Treatment being compete and accurate. We reserve the right to either cancel the Contract or to increase the charges if any of the information your provide is incomplete or inaccurate.

6.2 We shall charge £40 for each abortive visit we make unless due to Our fault.

6.3 Payment will be collected from your credit/debit card upon completion of the Treatments.

7. LIABILITY - PLEASE READ THIS CLAUSE VERY CAREFULLY AS IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS.

7.1 Nothing in this Agreement shall limit or affect your statutory rights. Subject to this however all representations, warranties, guarantees and conditions express or implied, statutory or otherwise are expressly excluded and We do not accept liability for loss, damage, or injury howsoever arising save as specified in this clause below:

(a)personal injury or death which is a direct result of Our negligence in the course of carrying out the Treatments; and

(b)as a result of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and

(c)physical damage to property which is the direct result of Our negligence or breach of contract in carrying out the Treatments up to a limit of £20,000 for any one occurrence or series of occurrences arising from a similar cause.

7.2 You shall not be entitled to make any claim against Us or Our employees unless you gives Us written notice of the event giving rise to such claim, containing sufficient information to enable us to identify and investigate it within 28 days of the date on which you becomes or ought reasonably to have become aware of the occurrence of such event.

7.3 We shall not in any circumstances have any liability for any loss of profit, use or business interruption (whether direct or indirect) or third party claims, or any indirect, economic or consequential loss or damage.

7.4 You acknowledge that the charges reflect the level of liability undertaken by Us in connection with carrying out the Treatments and that if the exclusions and limitations contained in this clause 7 were to increase the charges may also have to increase

8. FORCE MAJEURE

If We are prevented or delayed in the performance of any of Our obligations under this Agreement by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, then We shall be excused the performance or the punctual performance of the Treatments as the case may be for so long as cause of prevention or delay shall continue.

9. HEALTH AND SAFETY

9.1 You shall ensure that all advice and instructions given by Us to protect the health and safety of persons using your property during and after the provision of the Treatments are followed.

9.2 You shall advise Us and Our employees of any hazards they may encounter whilst working at your property.

9.3 Any pesticide used by Us in the Treatments is approved under the Control of Pesticide Regulations 1986 and has been assessed for any hazard under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1989. Information on the pesticides used at the Your property is available at request

10. WRITTEN COMMUNCIATIONS

10.1 Applicable laws requires that some of the information or communications that We send to you should be in writing. When using Our Site, you accept that communication with Us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on Our Site. For contractual purposes you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that We provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirements that such communications shall be in writing. This does not affect your statutory rights.

10.2 Any notice to be given to Us shall be in writing and except in the case of legal proceedings (which must be sent marked for the attention of the Company Secretary, Rentokil Initial UK Ltd t/a Rentokil Pest Control at Riverbank, Meadows Business Park, Blackwater, Camberley, Surrey GU17 9AB) should be sent to [email protected]

11. SEVERANCE

If any term or provision is this Agreement is or shall become in whole or in part illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the legality, validity and enforceability of the remainder of the Agreement shall not be affected or impaired thereby.

12. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

You shall not be entitled to rely on or seek to rely on any statement, warranty or representation made by or on behalf of Us to the extent that such representation is inconsistent with this Agreement nor any advice or recommendation given by or on Our behalf in relation to the Treatments unless We have confirmed it in writing.

13 GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

The Agreement will be governed by and be interpreted according to the laws of England and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
